For April Fool’s Day this year, Double Zero Napoletana and The Iberian Pig are playing a pleasant prank on guests. The Sandy Springs restaurant and the Decatur restaurant, both part of the Castellucci Hospitality Group, are sending all of their employees and some of their kitchens’ greatest hits to the opposite restaurant on Sunday, April 1. As a result, each eatery will offer a special menu consisting of the other restaurants’ most popular dishes and drinks in addition to their regular menus.

The following items from The Iberian Pig’s menu will be served at Double Zero Napoletana on April 1:

·         Bacon wrapped dates stuffed with Manchego cheese and walnuts and served with romesco dipping sauce

·         Pork cheek tacos with fire roasted corn salsa, avocado crema, arugula and fresh lime

·         Huevos con trufa – rustic bread, slow roasted pork cheeks, poached egg and black truffles

·         Veal shank ravioli – handmade ravioli stuffed with slow braised veal shank served with a Rioja cream sauce, black truffle crème fraîche, white truffle oil, roasted shitake mushrooms and fresh thyme

·         Jamón Ibérico and Spanish cheeses

·         Albondigas – wild boar sausage meatballs stuffed with piquillo peppers, Macedonian dates and roasted tomatoes and finished with a pimento crème and oyster mushrooms

·         Moscatel filet – 10 oz prime beef tenderloin topped with Manchego cheese, chopped walnuts, medjool dates and applewood smoked bacon served with braised pork belly and two piquillo peppers stuffed with mascarpone and goat cheese

·         The Iberian burger – American Wagyu beef on a toasted brioche bun with bacon-onion relish and  Mahon cheese, served with eggplant fries

·         Churros dusted with cinnamon and sugar and finished with a cinnamon-chili infused chocolate sauce

·         The Iberian Old Fashioned – bacon infused rye, molasses, bitters and citrus oil

·         Margarita Inspirada – tequila, St. Germain, Cointreau and fresh lime

·         Selection of Spanish wines

The following items from Double Zero Napoletana’s menu will be served at The Iberian Pig on April 1:

·         L'arrosto – a pound and a half of roasted pork shoulder served in cast iron with house-made accoutrements including pizza nuvole, pickled vegetables, grilled radicchio salad, pepper jelly, roasted garlic puree, Calabrian chilies and apple-almond mostarda for the whole table to share.

·         Pork belly risotto – crispy pork belly, sweet potato-pumpkin risotto, balsamic glaze, broccoli rapini and slow poached egg

·         Polipo – slow roasted and grilled octopus, white bean puree, pickled vegetable salad, roasted red pepper coulis, preserved lemon and purple potato.

·         Lobster pappardelle – butter poached whole live Maine lobster, black pepper pappardelle, seasonal mushrooms, pearl onions, caramelized fennel, long stem artichokes, fresh basil and lobster white wine sauce  

·         Lamb polpettine – crispy lamb meatballs, tomato-basil jam, fresh mozzarella and herb yoghurt.

·         Burrata – Burrata cheese with pineapple carpaccio, pomegranate seeds, balsamic caviar, crouton, prosciutto di Parma and fleur de sel

·         Margherita pizza (limited availability) – San Marzano tomatoes, Mozzarella di Bufala Campania and basil

·         Capesante – seared scallops, fennel and Cara Cara orange salad, Cerignola olive, salsa verde and roasted tomato farretto

·         Double Zero chocolate cake – layers of chocolate cake, espresso crème, dark chocolate ganache, hazelnut and almond nougatine frosted with white chocolate mousse and garnished with shaved chocolate

·         Barrel aged Negroni – gin, Campari, Carpano Antica vermouth, flamed orange (aged in bourbon barrels for six weeks)

·         LPR Cocktail – Ca’De’ Medici Lambrusco Rosso, Dolin Blanc vermouth, balsamic syrup and strawberry

·         Selection of Southern Italian wines
