Atlanta set to celebrate Final Four's 75th Anniversary

ATLANTA -- Atlanta is planning a one of a kind celebration for the 75th edition of the NCAA's Men's Final Four.  The Georgia Dome will host the NCAA Division 1 Championship April 6-8.

The Atlanta Local Organizing Committee unveiled plans for an event will be much more than just a basketball tournament.  The NCAA Division 2 and Division 3 championship games will be played on Final Four weekend at Philips Arena.

There will be events that fans can enjoy even it that can get tickets to the game.  There will exhibits, interactive games, concerts, 5K run and youth clinics.

Fans will have a chance to share their March Madness memories, by voting for their top moments, the top teams, and the top players from past NCAA Final Four weekends.

Whats more amazing are the numbers expected for Final Four weekend in Atlanta.  Some 100,000 fans are expected in the city.  10,000 hotel rooms, within walking distance from the Georgia Dome, are expected to be filled for 4 days.

The expected impact on the Atlanta economy is close 70 million dollars.

Atlanta will be showcased internationally as basketball fans in 200 nations are expected to tune in, with over 9 million viewers in the United States.

It will be the 4th time for Atlanta to host the NCAA Men's Final Four and the 3rd time it has been held at the Georgia Dome .
